The Listening Program
This program can also be considered “auditory aerobics”. It is designed to enhance the auditory processing of sound and information to the brain and the body. It benefits individuals of all ages – from babies who may not respond appropriately to sound, to adults who have difficulty with social and communication skills. It helps individuals with learning problems, attention problems, receptive/expressive language problems with listening in background noise, and other auditory perceptual issues. Adults who have difficulty retaining auditory information, or with inattentiveness, have been helped. This program can be combined with other on-going therapies to enhance the overall progress of development. Treatment protocol is: 30 minutes a day for approximately 8 weeks. Proper headphones are required for this program.
